Construction trades are traditional, very labor-intensive trades. The industry is characterized by strong international competition that is sometimes unfair. In contrast, companies who still make their schedules by hand and handle piles of paper maintenance reports, time sheets, expense reports, etc., are handicapped. Their operational costs are too high compared to their competition who have moved on to automation…
Aidoo mobile – how does it work ?
The dispatcher prepares the planning for each active site, on a daily or weekly basis. It assigns workers, vehicles, and engines to different site managers, based on the availability and skills of workers and on the characteristics, availability, or location of machines. It can also notify personnel via text message (at the site, outdoors, etc.).
In the vehicle (truck, van, etc.) each worker punches in when entering and leaving the vehicle transporting them to the site or taking them home. They can also report whether they are driving or riding as passengers in the vehicle.
On the site: the team leader inputs work hours for workers on the screen installed in the vehicle or directly through a smartphone, as well as absences noted, the progress of the work, or the problems encountered.
Additionally, the web platform offers:
Real-time monitoring of vehicle locations
Automatic calculation of travel bonuses and working hours for employees
Automatic generation of the data necessary to analyze costs related to worksites
